Lysol Testers Wanted

So the other day when I picked the kids up from school, Jace spent the entire ride home lamenting the fact that he has never been on the news. He was so upset! "Madison has got to be on a few times, Mom was on the news with Madison, and Daddy gets to be on all the time!!" I tried to console /cheer him up as best I could without having any type of fix to offer.

The next day when I picked him up from school, he climbed into the car blurting that he was going to be on the new TONIGHT!! Well, I'll be darned! He was! (So was Madison..... again)

Not Much to Crow About

Fast Fowl Power Shift

Power to the Hennies!
Last Saturday I had finally had it with the roosters picking my poor hens! None of the new hens have tails anymore, poor babies. There was just too much testosterone in the coop. I felt justified in sacrificing the roosters, well, because you know how men are, eat the food, strut in the yard, and produce nothing of value! So Joe and I made short work of four of the less fortunate aggressive males. Here's a look at what's in my crock pot now!
Just goes to show you. We don't put up with fowl behavior at our house.
(Take note Jace! You could be next!)

What Does Mom Know...... Now??

So you know how your kids always think you have no clue? How you tell them things that are just ridiculous? Well, here's how that worked out for us today.

Being the mother of a 6 year old boy on 30-acres of dirt has proven to be it's own special challenge. Since it began to thaw, I feel that I spend a majority of my time repeatedly telling him to stay out of the mud. "Get out of the mud, you'll fall down." "Get out of the mud, you'll get dirty", and the latest, "Get out of the mud, you'll get stuck!" And as always I hear, "No I won't!"

Yup. So how's that working for ya now son?!?

Told ya!!
